A park bench is one of the most ordinary pieces of furniture in the world. Everyone has sat on one. Everyone knows how it feels. Cold metal or warm wood under the legs, a bit of shade, the sound of trees in the background.
Which is exactly what makes it such a good spot for this kind of shoot. When the setting is this familiar, the only thing that stands out is the girl sitting on it. Peaches, teen, cheeky, in sheer nylons that she is clearly proud of. She has that particular look of a girl who knows she is up to something and is enjoying every second of it.
There is a quality to this set that feels different from the ones we shot on the move. Those were about walking, catching, snapshot moments. This one is about sitting. About stillness. What we like most about Peaches is her consistency. She has appeared in several sets over the years, and every one of them has the same energy. Young, unbothered, faintly amused by the whole thing. She is not trying to be sexy. She is not trying to be anything. She is just being herself, and herself happens to include a love of sheer nylons and a total lack of concern about who might be looking.
